Thiruchendur is a panchayat town in Toothukudi district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
At 10 km away from Thiruchendur there is a village "Melaputhukudi" were people consider as nice tourist spot and they are calling it as "sonai" where a famous temple for "Arunchunai kattha Ayyanar Swami" is located.
At 8 km away from Thiruchendur there is a village Arumuganeri.

The NGO was established in 1993 by Sekar and has steadily grown its community development activities.
