Vagabonding | My time in Ethiopia -digihitch.com
By this time I was taking public transportation everywhere.
I attempted hitchhiking a few times but it was always in vain.
So I had to pay for all my transportation, but this really was minimal and not a big deal.

Alzheimer's: Buying Time | My Online Wellness
Researchers in Miami, Florida found that mildly impaired Alzheimer's patients who took three to four months of "cognitive rehabiliation" classes had an 170 percent improvement in their ability to recall faces and names, along with a 71 percent improvement in their skill at giving the proper change for a purchase.
Larson has seen similar results many times in his practice, and he knows how much these improvements can mean to patients and their families.
Buying time isn't always easy, but those extra days and months and years will be a family treasure.

TimT: My stocks of wit are currently running quite low, but I'll dredge up a few comments eventually.

I wrote my own little book of notes while reading it.
This one got me thinking about how I present my business, and how others want to perceive me. It gave me some great ideas.
The "liar" metaphor was too much of a stretch IMO (it was done to grab attention but he had to spend too much time saying "no, not really liars") but the counsel is rock solid.

How Do I Spend My Time? at pedersondesigns   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-02)
This is almost certainly overstated, but the key point, I think, is that what we old fogies think kids need to know may not necessarily be what matters for them in 10 years.
Installed Active Timer for OS X. Started tracking and timing Tuesday morning.
I use BBEdit and TextWranger too, but TextMate is awesome.
