		Thohoyandou is the former capital of the independent homeland and the proud heart of the VhaVenda people.

		Thohoyandou - A Chinese businessman was abducted and held for a R500 000 ransom before being found hitchhiking along a Limpopo road early on Monday morning.
		The 40-year-old man had arrived home in Thohoyandou, Limpopo, shortly after midnight on Sunday when four men forced him into their car, said Captain Ailwei Mushavhanamadi of Vhembe police Tuesday.
		He was taken to Thohoyandou police station and admitted to hospital for treatment.

		Shumani Joseph Madzunya, a teacher at Mphathele Primary in Mukula village, Thohoyandou, has discovered to his horror that it is illegal to withhold one's name from a traffic policeman.

		This week, the case was taken to court and Madzunya was convicted of refusing to reveal his identity to a law enforcement agent.
