 | | In the spirit of restlessness which was driving men westward, Thomas Carter moved again, bringing his family and household goods to Pittsylvania County, VA, where in 1783 he purchased a plantation, which he called "Green Rock." In 1797, 1798, and 1802, Thomas Carter had grants for 1,193 more acres of land in Pittsylvania County. |
