Thomas is famous for the words and music of ''"Molly MacAlpin"'', which is better known today as ''"Carlolan's Dream"''.

William Thomas Connellan, 44, of Camberwell, who was a loans officer with the bank for three years, will serve a minimum of three years for the crime.
During yesterday's sentencing in the County Court, Judge James Duggan said Connellan's theft was the "manifestation of a remarkable compulsion".
The court heard that it was while Connellan was on a good behaviour bond for social security fraud that he started stealing from the bank in April, 1999.
