After searching through the IGI record of each county of England, Ireland and Wales the only appropriate entry records: "Thomas Musgrave married an Elizabeth Haywood in 1761 at St. Peter's Church in Leeds." The marriage could however have taken place in Scotland, or have missed being recorded.
The introduction of Sir Rowland Hill's postal reform assisted the increase, but we believe Musgrave was Keenly aware of the virtue of virtue of this since it is considered that the 2nd May Penny Black and the Two penny Mulready, both sent from the Bath Post Office, would have originated from him.
Reason: It is unlikely that a Post Office employee other than the Postmaster would have dared to take the first stamp off a sheet of un-issued stamps, (one of the very few PO's outside London to receive the issue in advance of the date) cancel it without touching the stamp, and mail it.

Before the 18th century the most noted artists who produced paintings in England were foreigners, such as the German painter Hans Holbein the Younger in the 16th century and the Flemish painter Sir Anthony van Dyck in the 17th century.
During the 18th century there was also the emergence of distinctive English styles in furniture and ceramics, epitomized by the work of Thomas Chippendale, Thomas Sheraton, and Josiah Wedgwood.
In the 16th century there was the emergence of a group of composers, in particular John Taverner, Thomas Tallis, and William Byrd, who produced memorable church music and laid the foundations of one of the strongest British musical traditions, choral music.
