Thomas Percy, 1st Earl of Worcester (1343 – July 23, 1403) was an English nobleman best known for taking part in the rebellion of his nephew Henry Percy, 'Harry Hotspur'.
He was the younger son of Henry Percy, 3rd Lord Percy, and Mary Plantagenet, daughter of Henry Plantagenet, 3rd Earl of Lancaster, son Edmund Crouchback, 1st Earl of Lancaster, son of Henry III of England.
Henry Percy, 1st Earl of Northumberland was his elder brother, and Sir Henry 'Hotspur' Percy was his nephew.

The title of earl of Worcester was revived in 1421 in favor of Richard Beauchamp, Lord Abergavenny, but lapsed on his death in 1422.
WORCESTER, JOHN TIPTOFT, EAIfL OF (14271470), was son of John Tiptoft (13751443), who was Speaker of the House of Commons in 1406, much employed in diplomacy by Henry V., a member of the council during the minority of Henry VI., and created Baron Tiptoft in 1426.
Worcester was detested for his brutality and abuse of the law, and was called " the butcher of England " (Fabyan, 659).

Waleran de Beaumont (1104-1166), count of Meulan in France, a partisan of King Stephen in his war with the empress ~Iatilda, was probably earl of Worcester from 1136 to 1145.
The title descended in direct line to Henry, the 5th earl (1577-1646), who advanced large sums of money to Charles I. at the outbreak of the Great Rebellion, and was created marquess of Worcester in 1643.
EDWARD SOMERSET, 2nd marquess of Worcester (1601-1667), is better known by the title of earl of Glamorgan, this earldom having been Conferred upon him, although somewhat irregularly, by Charles I. in 1644.

Sir Henry Percy, called Hotspur, eldest son of Henry, 1st Earl of Northumberland, was born on the 20th of March 1364.
Percy is said to have answered this defiance with the words, "Not here, but on the field." This was late in 1402, and in 1403 Hotspur issued a proclamation in Cheshire stating that Richard II was alive, and summoning the inhabitants to his standard.
He was reinforced by his uncle Thomas, Earl of Worcester, who, although steward to the household of the Prince of Wales, joined his family in rebellion.
