 | | Manitoba, being a province of great geographic diversity and with a small population that in many areas is widely disbursed, is particularly concerned that the definition of high-cost serving areas not be drawn too narrowly. |
 | | Prior to the privatization of the Manitoba Telephone System, we, along with many others, warned that the net losers under privatization would be rural and northern residents, who would see their local telephone bills increase, local jobs disappear and control of the company leave the province. |
