Thomson is the market leader in DVD and VHS replication and the largest processor of release prints, the film prints that are distributed for viewing in movie theaters.
Thomson attributed the disappointing sales at the unit to a slower rollout of new products from pay television and telecom operators and expects a correction in the fourth quarter.
