The word thou (pronounced with the andquot;thandquot; as in andquot;theandquot;) is a second person singular pronoun of the English language.
Thou is the [nominative [case form; the oblique/[objective (functioning as both [accusative and dative) is thee, and the genitive is thy or thine.
Therefore, he consistently used thou for the singular and ye for the plural regardless of the relative status of the speaker and the addressee.
