		Thrakomakedones (Greek: Θρακομακεδόνες from Thrace and Macedonia), is a community, part of East Attica, Athens, Greece.
		Thrakomakedones is located on a road linking Varympompi and the mountain including its telepherique (cable car).
		The farmlands are around Thrakomakedones while forests covers the rest of the area including the south, the west and east with a couple of bushes and grasslands.

		A firefighting plane dumps tons of water on a forest on Mount Parnitha as a fire killed one person, destroyed hundreds of hectares of forest and damaged 11 homes yesterday.
		None of the Olympic facilities that are near the mountain, including the Olympic Village at Thrakomakedones, were threatened by the fire.
		Firefighters asked residents to evacuate their properties as the fire raced through the Panorama section of the Thrakomakedones Municipality.

		Since it was 'name day' and Sofia's birthday(my host), we decided to visit her father in law, who lives in Marathon.
		The one-hour drive from Thrakomakedones to Marathon took us along the Olympic Rowing Center and the Marathon lake which was heavely guarded, since it has a huge dam and it's the water reservoir for Athens city.
		Back in Thrakomakedones we had suprise cakes for Sofia at midnight and went to downtown to have a drink.
