I have not only used it on kittens, but puppies, rabbits, squirrels, etc. It is also excellent for adding weight to animals as a supplement to their regular diet, or sick or weak animals.
The best criteria by which to determine if the kitten is being properly fed are a steady weight gain of ten grams or one-third of an ounce per day and a normal stool (firm and yellowish) The number of stools usually approximates the number of feedings per day.
Kittens should be weighed at birth on a gram scale (newborns usually weigh between 90-110 grams or 3.15-3.85 ounces) and then on a daily basis for the first two weeks.

Air temperature in their immediate vicinity should be 85° to 90° F for the first week of life, 80° F for weeks 2 to 5, and 70° to 75° F at 6 weeks.
Take great care not to overheat or burn the kittens when they are too young to be able to move away from the heat source.
Kittens usually need about 8 calories/ounce of body weight during their first and second weeks and 7 calories/ounce during their third and fourth weeks.

 Orphan Kittens
Kittens need a constant temperature of 85 [deg.] to 90 [deg.] F. the first week of life, 80 [deg.] F. the second week, 75 [deg.] F. the third week and 70 [deg.] F. thereafter until they are active enough to maintain their body heat.
However, vaccination of orphan kittens that did not received their mother's colostrum (first milk) may be begun at an earlier age.
When the kittens are a month old and you have taken the proper precautions to ensure that young children will not injure the kittens, allow regular play between your children and the kittens.

Sometimes, the kittens themselves may be sick with a viral or bacterial infection that upsets their instincts to nurse, or they may not be able to nurse due to a blocked nose, and not being able to smell their mother or her milk.
This will cause the kitten to urinate and have bowel movements, and it is very important that you continue to do this for the kitten until it is definitely using the litterbox on its own, even though most kittens can control their own bowel movements at about 10 days old.
If your kittens did not receive their mother's colostrum (the watery milk the queen produces in the first couple of days after giving birth), your kittens are at an even higher risk as they did not receive the antibodies present in the colostrum.

For weak kittens that cannot nurse effectively, or if you are trying to save a litter of orphan kittens, Ask your veterinarian to show you how to use an orogastric tube.
Kittens who have not had an opportunity to nurse from their mom during the 24 hours immediately after birth will not have any maternal antibodies and will often die of bacterial or viral infection.

Kitten Rescue - Kitten Care Handbook
Kittens under one week old should be fed every 2-3 hours; at two weeks old they can be fed every 4-6 hours; after three weeks old, until they are weaned, they should be fed every 6-8 hours.
Once kittens are about six weeks old and healthy, it's okay to let them interact with other cats and even dogs, though they should have been isolated for at least 21 days before integrating them and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and given their first vaccination.
Once the kitten is out and about in the household, it is very important to not allow it to harass your resident kitties (at least not too much, after all this is the sworn duty of the kitten).

A lone kitten is much harder to train, as they have no example to follow.
It is best to integrate these orphans into another litter or small group of kittens as soon as possible.
If you have a litter of kittens that are perhaps seven weeks old, and a singleton who is three weeks old, they would all need to have the intranasal vaccine before being integrated.

Though Figaro started out as Gepetto the Toy-Maker's kitten in "Pinocchio," this cute little kitten proved to be a popular character.
The Studio decided to take Figaro and give him to Minnie Mouse as her pet and a rival for Pluto and Butch the Bulldog.
One comic seems to indicate that Daisy Duck owns Figaro ("Vacation Parade" #4 in the "Huey, Dewey & Louie" story - 1953), though she was probably just cat-sitting for Minnie.

The popular, influential Depression-Era fable The Three Little Pigs (1933) was released in 1933 with its optimistic hit theme song: "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" (based upon the tune of Happy Birthday).
Innovations continued to be created in the short creative animations, The Band Concert (1935), Music Land (1935) and The Old Mill (1937) - the latter being the first to use the multi-plane camera to provide an illusion of depth.
One of his most famous cartoons was a jazzy version of the original The Three Little Pigs titled Three Little Bops (1957).
