Electricity pylon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pylons used for single phase AC railway traction lines are similar in construction to pylons used for 110 kV-three phase lines.
For four traction circuits the arrangement of the conductors is in two-levels and for six electric circuits the arrangement of the conductors is in three levels.
anchor pylons (or strainer pylons) utilize horizontal insulators and occur at the endpoints of conductors.

A three level pylon is a pylon for the arrangement of the conductor cables on three crossbars in three levels.
At three level pylons for two three-phase circuits (6 conductor cables) fir tree pylons and ton pylons are used.
Three level pylons are higher than other pylon types but require however only small right of way.

Pylons are used in suspension bridges and in electric power transmission networks.
The pylons crossing the Bay of Cadiz, Spain are 158 meters high.
Support pylons (or suspension pylons) occur along the route of a conductor between anchor pylons, and keep the conductor suspended with vertical strings of insulators.

Three-level pylon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A three-level pylon is a pylon designed to arrange conductor cables on three crossbars in three levels.
For two three-phase circuits (6 conductor cables), it is usual to use fir tree pylons and barrel pylons.
It arranges two three-phase circuits in three levels, at which the lowest cross beam possesses a smaller span than the middle crossbar and thus a larger span than the highest crossbar.

Help for the Game of Pylon
Pylon is similar to Go, except that it's played with marbles which may stack up to form piles.
An O piece a 'f' would remove all level 1 freedoms from the X group, capturing it and resulting in O stacking an additional piece at 'g'; this is the only point at which a piece can be stacked on this group.
Pylon was named after the in-place capture rule, which lets players "pile on" pieces to cover surrounded enemy groups.

 Pylon
If the pylon is just one in a continuous chain it is termed a suspension pylon as the conductors can be held by suspending them on vertical strings of insulators.
The towers are invariably steel (lattice/truss) (wooden structures are used in Germany in exceptional cases) and the insulators are generally glass disc insulators assembled in strings whose length is determined by the line voltage and environmental conditions.
For testing of statical properties of pylons there are special test stations, in which pylons can be assembled and tested of their statical properties.
