		The open-minded approach Thrice took for Vheissu allowed them to write songs that were as surprising and inspirational to the four band members as to their fans.
		Thrice then signed to Island Records and re-entered the studio to create the more melodic and mature The Artist In the Ambulance, which doubled the sales of Illusion, and increased the band's fiercely devoted fanbase.
		Thrice has taken a similar path for Vheissu, dedicating a percentage of sales to 826 Valencia, a tutorial program designed to help underprivileged children improve their communications skills.

		Thrice is especially clutch with the fast strummed guitar chords that have lots of passing tones to keep the melody that used to be in the xylophone synth running fluidly.
		I listened to the Thrice podcast about this song and one of the main points they wanted to get across was that they had previous jumped around with time signatures but on this song they were really trying to get into a groove but in an interesting time signature.
		Thrice has always been a band I've enjoyed...they have enough melody to not be hardcore, but enough heaviness to not be pop-punk.

		Thrice are like in-between Finch and Poison The Well in terms of heaviness, yet they outstrip Finch due to their overall quality of music and they pack more emotion into their songs than PTW simply due to the more clever lyrics and more melodic parts rather than just constant screaming.
		This isn’t saying that Thrice are an easy-listening band because they simply aren’t, the thumping bass, great guitar riffs and fantastic visceral lyrics (both shouting and singing) can at times give you a headache, but it’s worth it in the long run.
		Basically, Thrice are a great hardcore band, but your tastes will vary on this band depending on the type of heaviness that you are used to in music.

		At first i thought, "wow, thrice has an acoustic song." i soon found that to be false, as the acoustic feint at the beginning leads into one of the harders songs that thrice has out their, second only to "Paper Tigers" off of The Artist In The Ambulance".
