		On occasion prospective customers assume that throttle control is "better", while our actual experience has shown that when the pedal-activated system is actually experienced it is often favored by cyclists.
		And, unless the objective is to not move your legs at all (a curious one for a cyclist) you need only to pedal very lightly for the power to stay on with a pedal-activated bike.
		A throttled bike needs to be pedalled concurrently with the motor on a steep hill—of course, depending on what constitutes a "steep" hill, the power of the bike, the weight of the rider etc.

		Throttling is implemented by checking each incoming URL filename against all of the patterns in the throttle file.
		If too many people are trying to fetch something at the same time, throttling may slow down each connection so much that it's not really useable.
		There is no provision for setting a maximum connections/second throttle, because throttling a request uses as much cpu as handling it, so there would be no point.

		"throttled" is available through Darwinports (but not Fink) actually.
		It has an option to divert port traffic, so using "throttled" you can divert the packets from ipfw into throttled and thereby set a throughput limit.
		I did some fiddling of throttled along the guidlines of suggestion [1].

		This was discussed a week or so ago, and it turns out that there is a a tweak you can do for Veritas VVM in /etc/system, but I don't remember any mentiuon of a similar tweak in SDS.
