		Indeed, I love everything about this record, its sound, its persistent mid-tempo sludge trudge (what they themselves call: "a transportive series of differentiated verse with sets of solid groove"), its vocal mantras and its total devotion to taming time.
		And undoubtedly, their epochal song/album Jerusalem (which was reissued a couple of ears ago as a longer, superior mix under the track's original name Dopesmoker) serves as an aural high water mark for stoners looking to bang heads in time with their bong hits.
		Another idea that makes the record interesting is that if you smoke hella weed and turn it up loud enough to make your eyes bleed, you will be rewarded with previously unheard bass tones, a calming, almost meditative effect that's actually more like having a pillow put over your face.

		Tierra was born in 1971 when Rudy Salas and his brother Steve (back then known as the Salas Brothers), decided to do their own project after honing their skills with East Los Angeles groups.

		We all loved the Dizzee Rascal record, and the recent ep from Wiley, so we had high hope for this sampler of new groups from the burgeoning UK grime scene.
		That's not to say it's not good, cuz it is. But part of the reason this doesn't hit quite as hard is that the tracks on here are mostly instrumental, and Dizzee and Riley added a whole lot to the sound, so without vocals, this stuff is is VERY repetItive and VERY simple.
		This collection of live recordings at the Ideenshop in Berlin from last year is an intriguing compilation of techno minimalism that as a whole seems to hold much more of an affinity to the angular electronic funk of Cabaret Voltaire than the elegant sheen of Pan Sonic or Goem.
