Scorpio Rising, MP3 Album Music Download at eMusic
On the heels of their critically acclaimed (and very appropriately titled) debut, Ambassadors of Style, Scorpio Rising is an even more seamless imaginary soundtrack.
One can only guess which Hollywood director will be the first to enlist Thunderball masterminds Sid Barcelona and Steve Raskin to compose the score for his or her next movie, but rest assured it will be worth dropping a hard-earned eight bucks for admission.
In Thunderball's world, blaxploitation funk, cinematic soul, bossa nova lounge, downtempo dub, and downtown drum'n'bass all come together to create a hipster vibe few other groups could even aspire to, let alone create.

Amazon.ca: Customer Reviews Music: Thunderball [Import]
Previously recorded by Dionne Warwick and Shirley Bassey, it was decided that Thunderball should be the title song, but this song was put in the movie, where 007 dances with femme fatale, Fiona Volpe.
(this theme is also played shortly when Bond runs away from Fiona during the Junkanoo) It's one of Barry's absolute best action-themes, and to have that song on the soundtrack that would have made it incredible.
What is also interesting, is that this soundtrack also includes a alternate title song in it's instrumental version- Mr.

 SoundtrackNet : Born Free Soundtrack
On the original soundtrack, John Barry teams up with Matt Munro (Thunderball) again for the title track on Born Free, which was originally removed from the film's soundtrack.
As Paul Tonk.'s liner notes specify, that due to a cover version of the main title theme by Roger Williams went to the top of the U.S. charts, this version with Munro was re-instated back into the soundtrack of the film.
With Varese's re-recording of maestro John Barry's inventive, broad and gentle score to Born Free, we're given that glimpse of a time long forgotten.

From the Curtis Mayfield tribute of the opening 'Heart of the Hustler' and the airy jungle jazz of 'Vai Vai' to the ambient, Indian-influenced hip-hop of 'Stereo Tonic,' these guys blend styles like Esquivel mixes drinks.

Moonraker (Remastered) - Music from the Movies
When it came out in 1979, the Moonraker soundtrack album, at a mere thirty minutes, was the shortest of all the James Bond albums.
It is interesting to note parallels between the final battle of Thunderball and Moonraker.
Perhaps the power of better remastering is offset by the fact that the first Moonraker CD was cut when the tapes were only nine years old, compared to their twenty-four year age today.

You Only Live Twice Soundtrack Reviews @ Movie Music . com
Despite the success of the bold and brassy "Goldfinger" and "Thunderball" songs, the pair decided instead that "You Only Live Twice" would be more sedate, yet still involving.
You Only Live Twice was the first Bond film to be directed by Lewis Gilbert, who, with this film and the subsequent entries in the series he directed, gained a reputation as being the least restrained of all the Bond film directors, reaching something of a nadir with the overblown Moonraker.
You Only Live Twice, however, manages to be a very entertaining film in spite of his tendencies, with all of the prerequisite Bond elements in place, including exotic locations, beautiful women, death-defying stunts and a John Barry score.
