Three soldiers were killed and nine others wounded after government troops clashed anew with suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels in Tiaong, Quezon, DZMM reported Tuesday.
The firefight occurred less than 24 hours after the communist guerillas shot and wounded a policeman and four Philippine Air Force soldiers in the same area.

FOUR people were killed while two others were injured after a passenger jeep they were riding in collided with a Bicol-bound Philippine National Railways (PNR) train in Tiaong, Quezon Friday dawn.
The injured, identified as Joel Visgara and Christine Natividad, were brought to a nearby hospital in the town of Tiaong.
A report reaching the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame said the accident took place at 4:30 a.m.
