  The TICKIT to Technology: School of Education Alumni, School of Education, Indiana University at Bloomington
TICKIT is a year-long institute for 25 elementary and high school teachers from rural school systems in southern Indiana.
TICKIT came into being in early 1998 when a staff member at Walden University told Bonk and Ehman that the university's funding arm, the Ackerman Foundation, was interested in sponsoring a program that helped teachers implement technology — especially rural teachers.
He praises the TICKIT program and is using it in a systematic way to foster technology training and collegial support in his school system.

TICKIT teachers were more favorable to the critical friend activities than online debates and reading reactions.
