Tiddleywink is a hamlet consisting of eight cottages, near the village of Yatton Keynell, about three miles (five kilometres) to the west of Chippenham, in the county of Wiltshire, in the south west of England.
The name is said to derive from rhyming slang for "a quick drink".
The residents now hope that they will benefit from tourism, as people stop at the unusally named hamlet on their way to the Cotswolds.

Quite recently the BBC regional television weather forecast map for the southwest of England marked the usual cities of Bristol and Exeter, but also added the hamlet of Tiddleywink in Wiltshire, a place hard to find except on maps of the largish scale.
In fact the BBC was having some fun in picking up a local news story which related to the success of its inhabitants in persuading the local council to put up road signs to mark this group of eight cottages, as up to now people driving past would miss it if they blinked.
