He said that to ensure that the couple passed the test, several people would keep watch over them and they would only be fed a minimal amount of food and drink.

These projects would help generate approximately 1200 million units of power annually which would bring annual revenue of about Rs 43 crore as royalty in the first 12 years of their operation and thereafter approximately Rs 65 crore in the subsequent 28 years of operation to the state.

In 1983 I became coauthor of a paper (Gupta & Erben 1983) published in this journal and describing several Upper Devonian ammonoids.
These had been handed over to me by Professor Vishwa Jit Gupta of the Punjab University of Chandigarh (India) who claimed that they came from the Muth formation of the Himalayan locality »Khimokul La in the Tidong Valley of Kinnaur District in Himachal Pradesh«.
Knowing that this formation consists of quartzites and that ammonoids usually do not occur in this lithofacies I expressed my astonishment but Gupta explained to me that his fauna appeared in two calcareous intercalated units.
