The Till Eulenspiegel is identical to the live 1943 performance of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Wilhelm Furtwiingler, as issued already earlier on Royale 1259 and 1370 (see earlier article).
Royale 1259: Sibelius Fintandia op.26 #7 (1952) 'Berlin Symphony Orchestra/Karl List" Strauss Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche op.28 "Berlin Symphony Orchestra/Gerd Rubahn" Bach Brandenburg Concerto No.4 in G major "Berlin Symphony Orchestra/Dr.Felix Guenther" The performers of the Sibelius and Bach works could not be identified so far.
The recording of the Till Eulenspiegel, however, which in the earlier article had already been suggested to be the live performance under Wilhelm Furtwdngler from November 1943, can now be confirmed to be just that.
