Initially formed by Julianne Regan (former Gene Loves Jezebel bassist), the talented guitarist Tim Bricheno, and bassist Andy Cousin, All About Eve released their first single D for Desire in 1985, but were only able to strike a record deal with Phonogram in 1987 after the release of the single Flowers in our Hair.
In 1990, Tim decided to leave AAE to join The Sisters of Mercy, leaving a huge void that was judiciously filled with The Church's own Marty Willson-Piper, enabling AAE to move along with the release of 'Touched By Jesus' in 1991.
Tim has done the sleeve notes and has designed the front and back cover photo's, so, it is obviously with his blessing.

The Deliverance World Tour is now starting to show the strains between the founding members and various weary arguments result in Hinkler storming off stage during a gig in Toronto.
He is initially replaced by David Wolfenden for the remainder of the tour, while Tim Bricheno (All About Eve) guests before joining The Sisters of Mercy.
With Paul Etchell (ex-Ghostdance) on keyboards and guitars, the last leg of the tour is finished.

 The Sisters of Mercy
The new line-up kicked off with Vision Thing album, released October 22, 1990 (1990 in music), produced by Eldritch (one song was a co-production with Jim Steinman).
Under the insistence of the record company the band rerecorded their early single \Temple of Love (with Ofra Haza on additional vocals) to promote the collection of their early independently released singles, entitled Some Girls Wander By Mistake (1992).
At the end of the year, Tim Bricheno left the band and was replaced in 1993 by Adam Pearson.

A failed personal relationship between Julianne and Tim Bricheno resulted in his exit from the group after the second album, Scarlet And Other Stories (Marty Willson-Piper of The Church was his replacement), and record company pressure forced them to switch labels for 1991's Ultraviolet.

It's been two years since their first full-length, The Thrill Kisser, flew under the radar, and the trio of vocalist David Tomlinson, guitarist/programmer Tim Bricheno, and keyboardist/programmer Tim Gordine has made baby steps toward expanding their sound somewhat in the interim.
Dirtybird opens with ice rink strings before launching into the unremarkable leadoff track, "The American." With its dopey "Boy gets girl/boy loses girl" chorus and chugging beats, the song flounders for a few minutes before finally finding itself with a brief, but soulful harmonica solo.
