Tim Brooke-Taylor (born July 17, 1940 in Buxton, Derbyshire, England) is a British comic actor most well known in Britain as a member of "The Goodies" comedy trio and as one of the panel members of the comedy radio show I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue.

Tim also worked with his fellow Goodies on the animated television comedy series Bananaman, in which Tim was the narrator, as well as voicing the characters of "King Zorg of the Nurks", "Eddie the Gent, "Auntie" and "Appleman".

Michael Mills and Barry Took, who brought Python to the BBC in 1969, were also responsible for the decision to give Brooke-Taylor, Garden and Oddie their own series in 1970.
Brooke-Taylor had already been involved (in 1967) as a writer in the BBCs Twice A Fortnight, a late night sketch-based show featuring Terry Jones, Michael Palin, Oddie, Garden, Dilys Watling and Jonathan Lynn.
Tim followed this by spending 1968 as Marty Feldman's straight-man in his BBC series, Marty.

Brooke-Taylor was closely involved with the setting up of the series but was often unable to be involved in the actual writing of episodes because of his other work (chiefly in radio comedy).
The team parodied ITV adverts cleverly (Tim's frequent appearances as the brattish, incompetent Baked Beans kid) while the season closer, Pirate Radio Goodies, was a wonderful surreal tale of the the trio's attempts to start a radio station whilst possessing only one record (A Walk in the Black Forest).

I traded some Goodies-related video with a fan in England, and one thing she sent to me was a series called Assaulted Nuts, a 1985 sketch show which featured Tim Brooke-Taylor as a cast member.
