Tim Commerford, also known as Timmy C. Tim Bob, Simmering T, Y.tim.K, TIM.COM, and tim.COM, (born February 26, 1968 in Irvine, California), was the bassist for Rage Against the Machine and is currently bassist for Audioslave.
Commerford's father divorced and remarried, while his mother moved to Sacramento, California to live with his sister, until she died of brain cancer when Commerford was 20 years old.
Commerford is a fan of jazz, and is an obsessive mountain biker, even going so far as to thank all of his bikes in the liner notes for The Battle of Los Angeles.

Tim was a childhoodfriend and classmate of Zack's and it is said that the two met when Zack taught Tim how to rip off food from the school cafeteria.
Zack also taught Tim how to play bass and when Rage needed a bassist Tim was the first to be called.
Tim has lent his skill to all Rage albums but I feel that personally his bass playing shines the most on the new Rage album "The Battle of Los Angeles".

Tim's bass is amazing....his bass lines in Rage are KICK ASS....same in Audioslave.
Tim is the directions the other members have to follow on the road to musicianship.
He never remembers their names without saying them with me, and here he has been gone a week and the first thing he does when he gets home is remembers Tim's name (and the fact that Tim's not a monster...).
