Tim was one of the new group who had come to Local 638 from the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre after the employer closed it down all the call centres and moved them all to Montreal.
Tim was eager to talk to me that day regarding the issue of his previous office and I invited him to come see me to discuss it further which he did.
Tim contacted the union and we fought on his behalf as Tim had already worked for the Federal Government for over a year and could not be placed back on probation and that the employer had made no attempt to accommodate Tim under Treasury Board's Duty to Accommodate Policy.

Tim was killed instantly and John spent several weeks in the burn unit of the local hospital.
