www.mineweb.net | columns | curve ball Tim Wood. . . hatchet man for the elitists   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-17)
We hear from Tim Wood of Mineweb, whose specialty is lying in behalf of the SEC and the US government, that the World Gold Council because it has been delayed so long by bureaucratic obstruction at the SEC, is considering dropping the listing of its gold bullion fund.
This Tim Wood is the same puke who specializes in behalf of our government of attacking defenseless small companies and anyone who tells the truth about what is really going on.
Mineweb and Wood should be boycotted by all pro-gold investors and advocates for producing the trash it does and for working with anti-gold forces and the US government.

Using Timbor to control wood destroying Organisms
In order to understand the potential for attack on wood by insects and fungi, it is necessary to become familiar with the relative importance of the specific classes and parts of wood, and the moisture in the wood.
However, while wood is in storage or after it is in use, it slowly reacts to the moisture in the air around it and assumes equilibrium moisture..........
In addition, wood-boring organisms attacking structural wood are often dependent on relatively high moisture contents to initiate attack and in some cases, to continue their attack on the wood.

Tim Burton Dream Site - Ed Wood
Ed Wood is a humorous and tender portrayal of a man considered to have been one of the worst directors in Hollywood history.
Ed Wood was given his first opportunity to direct in 1954 with the movie "Glen or Glenda", a documentary style film depicting the struggles of being a transvestite.
Ed Wood is one of Tim Burton's greatest achievements, but I think the really remarkable thing is that Tim Burton made one of Ed Woods's dreams come true, even if he did not live to see it, Tim Burton gave Ed something he always wanted.

Ed Wood (1994)   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-17)
Ed Wood, of course, chronicles the Hollywood career of its eponymous subject, truly one screwed up individual; a cross-dresser with a fetish for angora, Wood churned out one horrifically bad film after another, culminating with Plan Nine From Outer Space, before descending into crappy porn films toward the end of his life.
Wood accepts, as we must, that he was a screwed-up hack, but it never drags him down; in fact, Depp has him reveling in it, and it is that very passion that buoys up the movie.
Ed Wood is a rare beast – it's a Tim Burton film that doesn't go overboard, it's a movie about Hollywood (sort of) that isn't self-indulgent, it's a nostalgia trip that manages not to be sappy but is still very warm and caring, and overall it's just a strikingly well-done film.

Tim-bor can be applied as a solution, foam or dust for wood treatment against wood destroying organisms and as a solution or dust for general insect control.
Spray Timbor solutions to all accessible wood: rafters, trusses, top-plates, ceiling joists, plywood, particleboard, OSB etc. Accessible areas with known infestations should be drilled and injected depending on the type of infestation.
When Tim-bor is applied as a liquid to the surface of bare wood it diffuses into the wood to make the wood itself toxic to wood destroying organisms such as wood decay fungus or drywood termites.

Unfortunately, the faith was misplaced and the talent was nonexistent--and although this Tim Burton film takes a slew of liberties with the facts of Wood's life and career, it does a remarkable job of capturing them as Wood likely saw them through the filter of his own outrageous ego.
As with Wood himself, the film plays fast and loose with the facts of Lugosi's life, but it nonetheless captures something very essential about both Lugosi and the Hollywood that destroyed him, something very elemental that transcends the weird comedy of the piece.
Wood surrounds himself with a crew of misfits and other Hollywood rejects, all of whom are absolutely hilarious.

Tim Wood is the founding editor of Resource Investor, (www.resourceinvestor.com) an online newsletter focusing on junior mining stocks.
As Tim rightly points out, the “CRB Index has not kept pace with changes in the world economy” and “That is why so many trade-weighted commodity indices have started to emerge to compete with Reuters/CRB.” It’s true, but then again, the same thing could be said for the venerable Dow Jones Industrial Average.
Tim goes on to say: “History shows that relationships between components of the CRB Index are always in flux.” But this statement is self-evident and adds nothing to support his argument.

 About Termite Control
Sodium borate is effective for the prevention of decay fungi (as a contact poison) and wood infesting insects, including all the wood boring beetles (anobiida, lyctidae, etc.), termites (subterranean, dry wood, damp wood, Formosan, etc.) and carpenter ants (as a stomach poison).
The best way to prevent such infestations is to treat all of the wood with sodium borate or use pressure-treated lumber for wood screeds, subflooring and furring strips because of the danger of decay and infestation.
In addition, the wood treated with synthetic pesticide poisons is not the first choice of the termite and is avoided.

Tim made it look like it was really a film directed by ED himself..
His characters in Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, and even the recent Once Upon a Time in Mexico, have little quirks, habits, or personality aspects that give them a sense of goofy reality.
Consider the way Wood is so cheery that when told Glen or Glenda is the worst movie ever, he excitedly says, "My next one'll be better!" And I love how in Sleepy Hollow he manages to get away with staying in bed, with a blanket over his head, mumbling about the horseman.
