Tim Yeo (born 1945) is a British Conservative politician, member of Parliament for Suffolk South, and the Shadow Education and Health Secretary.
Under Iain Duncan Smith he was shadow Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, and in 2003 was made Michael Howard's Education and Health Secretary, a major new role with responsibility for both schools and hospitals.
Univent PLC operates care homes for the elderly whilst its chairman Tim Yeo argues in the UK Parliament (as the Shadow Education and Health Secretary) for deregulations to the care home industry that would directly benefit his company.

Mr Yeo's suggestion that schools could be prevented from using proximity to a school to determine places would mean that popular schools would have to find other ways to choose from hundreds of families seeking a few dozen places.
But Mr Yeo appeared to contradict what would be a highly controversial proposal by also saying that schools would be allowed to decide their own admission rules.

At Highworth Recreation Centre a demonstration of new recycling techniques was given, and Mr Yeo was told of the success of the local waste reprocessing scheme initiated by Swindon Council.
Mr Yeo said that he was 'delighted at the co-operation between the council and local people in Highworth,' which has allowed the recycling scheme to be such a success.
