As it says in the Times Beach dioxin article (quoting Steve Taylor of the Times Beach Action Group): "....[regarding] the follow-up on the health effects [of dioxin]....people are going to be pretty much on their own," Taylor said.
By the way, to those folks who would say that the past Missouri River flooding should have "taken care" of the residual dioxin along the KATY Trail right-of-way, it should also be noted that the Times Beach site is definitely in a flood plain of the Meramec River.
