| | METHODS FOR STUDYING THE SEDIMENT LOAD AND THE RIVER DYNAMICS (Site not responding. Last check: ) |
 | | The river is trying permanently to compensate the deficit (or the excess) of up-stream solid loads, adjusting the morphology of its sectors and therefore its transport capacity. |
 | | In the extreme cases, the river is brought to an enormous whole that will keep its shape, and all transfers of the basin are accelerated towards the main emissary and this fact may cause many quality problems (sub-layer, low water, pollution, landscape) and quantity problems (obstruction, bed cleaning, flood risks, destruction of works). |
 | | Concerning the Timis River, the bottom load is quite big but the dikes are sufficient large to allow the stabilization of numerous alternated sectors, so that is naturally created a low-flow channel adapted to the most persistent flows, which responds to the main criteria of the fluvial dynamics. |
