	Timo Tolkki - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Timo Tolkki (born March 3, 1966, in Klaukkala, Finland) is the guitarist, songwriter and producer of the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius.
		This led to an important decision after the band's third album, Dreamspace, which was to be the acquisition of singer and trained vocalist, Timo Kotipelto, in 1994.
		This was largely due to Tolkki's desire to evolve the 'sound' and overall musical direction of Stratovarius (which ultimately resulted in the remaining original members of the band, Tuomo Lassila and Antti Ikonen, being unceremoniously fired), as well as feeling the need to concentrate more exclusively on his own guitarwork.

	Stratovarius Mp3 Albums Review
		Timo Tolkki plays fast but plays with a lot of emotion too so the guitar solos are almost perfect.
		Tolkki sings so beautifully in this one and the lyrics are really touching, not to mention the guitar solo that is one of his all time best (it's not about how fast you play, it's the emotion you deliver and how great it fits into the song overall).
		Timo Tolkki is not as good of a singer as Timo Kotipelto, but when listening to this record, I could instantly picture Kotipelto singing a vast majority of the songs from this album.

		During the rest Stratovarius are having to recharge their batteries (which if you ask me was very necessary at the end), guitarvirtous Timo Tolkki takes the oppurtunity to release a soloalbum.
		I guess that for Timo there are pretty much 2 choices when doing such a thing: either he takes the style of Stratovarius even further in heaviness, depth, speed and melodies - or he seeks completely new ways, styles and approaches.
		Apperantly this album is supposed to be a very personal journey through Tolkki's life expressed through his music, and he spent many months in a small studio/house by the sea in Finland recording this.

		If only Tolkki could have kept him throughout the whole album because from there on the album descends into forgettable territory that is a discredit to not only Tolkki but to fans of music in general.
		Tolkki's vocals, for the most, don't work, but there are hints of pleasure mainly in the early tracks like "Divine" and "I Believe." He hasn't the range to pull off what he wants to pull off, but when he sings naturally then things are better.
		Tolkki's vocal melodies are pleasant at most times but at times I think he tries too hard because he has difficulty controlling his voice.
