Timothy John Evans (November 20, 1924 – March 9, 1950) was a young man, possibly mentally retarded, who was hanged in the United Kingdom in 1950 for the murder of his infant daughter.
Evans was a native of Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales.
Evans was granted a posthumous pardon in 1966.

On 30th November 1949 Timothy evans was in Wales, he walked into a police station and confessed to putting his wifes dead body down a drain.
Christie was the chief prosecution witness at the murder trial of Evans, he denied any knowledge of the deaths of Beryl and the baby.
