		When Tina was very young, her singing was influenced by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand, but in later years she has listened more to artists like Joni Mitchell, Diana Krall and Holly Cole.
		Tina also acted in school plays and the combination of acting and music led her to the California School of the Arts (founded by Walt Disney) where she studied composition with Mel Powell (who had played with Benny Goodman).

		Her first golden retriever, Yardley, was a permanent fixture in Towner’s physical therapy class through her training at the U. “Things were a little more relaxed back then,” she says, “and Yardley (now deceased) became the class mascot.” As her children got older, Towner decided it was time to start over.
		Towner was honored to carry the torch but says accolades should be shared with all those who participate in pet therapy through Intermountain Therapy Animals.

		Towner is in the state prison here for drug and escape offenses, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections' Web site.
		The investigation began in April 2003, when Towner, Higgins, Fournier and McCoskey were found beaten and left to die in Box Canyon in the Santa Rita Mountains south of Green Valley, he said.

		United Press International purchased it in December 1963, but when UPI returned the copyright to the Nix family -- along with several duplicates of the film -- the original was missing.
		The Nix images were included with footage by Tina Towner Barnes, who also filmed the motorcade, and Malcolm Couch, who rode behind the president as a photographer for Dallas TV station WFAA.
		Some of those who attended the invitation-only screening said it gave them a firsthand glimpse of a tragedy many people remember but didn't witness.
