  Welcome to Pioneer Windows
The invention of TingWall® by Dr. Raymond Ting signals a new age in curtain wall design.
TingWall® is cost competitive with "stick" curtain wall systems and outperforms the most sophisticated unitized and rain screen systems.
Utilizing an innovative "airloop principle", TingWall® neutralizes the effects of both wind and rain, by separating the functions of sealing air and sealing water.

 Testing - Storys
A two story high, full scale TingWall™ mock-up was tested on October 22 and October 23 of 2002 at the Chinese government laboratory in Guangzhou in accordance with the requirements of Chinese Curtain Wall Standard GB/T 15227-94.
The maximum load of +4,500 Pa (94.3 psf) and -6,400 Pa (-134.2 psf) were applied to the mock-up and the curtain wall system is allowed to fail with the only requirement of no broken components falling off the mock-up.
To re-test a mock-up after sustaining the theoretical ultimate load tests (Story Drift at L/100 and Wind Overload at -6,400 Pa) is extremely unusual - indeed this may be the first in the history of curtain wall performance testing.

Tingwall Feature Page on Undiscovered Scotland
Tingwall is a tiny settlement on the north east coast of Orkney's West Mainland which looks across the Gairsay Sound to the islands of Gairsay, Wyre and Rousay.
These days Tingwall is best known as the Mainland terminal for the roll-on roll-off ferry to the islands of Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre.
It's easy to believe that things have always been the way they are now, so it comes as a surprise to find that until 1987 the islands were served by a pair of ships (which also served all the other northern islands) operating from Kirkwall.
