Tiny Tim - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tiny Tim's year of birth is unclear; he lied about his age on a number of occasions, and various sources give 1933, 1932, 1930, 1926, 1923, or 1922, although shortly before his death he said he was 64 years old, which would put his year of birth at 1932.
Tiny wrote his own marriage vows, including the promise to be "not puffed up." Tiny Tim and Miss Vicki made more news a month later with the announcement that they were expecting a baby.
Tiny Tim also worked with a number of other artists, including Brave Combo (his backing band on Girl) and was championed by, and collaborated with, Current 93 and Nurse With Wound.

Tip Toe Through the Tulips With Me
Tiny Tim (Showbiz pseudonym for Herbert Buckingham Khaury) was a camp, falsetto singer with long, straggly, dark hair who became a celebrity "oddity" in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Tiny Tim sang "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" while playing the ukulele on a variety of TV programs and nightclub engagements with a voice that was so high he could call (and scare) the neighborhood dogs.
On 11/30/96 Tiny Tim collapsed after performing his final set ("Tip-toe") at a Minneapolis fund-raiser and was later pronounced dead of an apparent heart attack at the age of 64.

Pegged as strictly a novelty act, Tim actually possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of vintage American pop and vaudeville songs; he was an avid collector of 78 rpm records and sheet music, and often scoured the New York Public Library's musical archives for material.
Tiny Tim's initial novelty wore off with the public after a couple of years, but he was so genuinely, guilelessly eccentric that he was never really forgotten, remaining something of a pop-culture icon for decades to come.
Tiny Tim was born Herbert Khaury, and gave his birth date as April 12, 1933, though some sources list 1932, 1930, and even 1926.
