Tionne Tenese "T-Boz" Watkins (born April 26, 1970 in Des Moines, Iowa) is an American RandB singer and lead singer of the group TLC.
Tionne first showed her lower register in the hit single, Red Light Special ("you might as well be honest, cause the body never lies.
As a child, Tionne was diagnosed with sickle-cell disease; initially hiding details of her ailment form others, she went public with the disease in 1996 and is today one of the spokespeople for Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.

A former model and hairdresser, Tionne Watkins joined with Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Crystal Jones to form the vocal group Second Nature around the beginning of the 1990s.
Along with this enormous popularity came equally enormous problems, however; and by the middle of the decade the three young women were weighed down with personal and financial difficulties that threatened to bring TLC to a messy conclusion.
Watkins has since kept herself busy with numerous business ventures (her production company SHEE Entertainment, a clothing line called Grungy Glamorous, and various development projects), as well as publishing a book of poetry titled Thoughts and working as a spokeperson for the Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation.

As straightforward as that sounds, all the visual style unnecessarily drains the coherence from the story, which bounces from one image and place to another with only a voiceover serving as the thin thread tying together the pieces.
