Weather was stunning, not a cloud in the sky and a constant sea breeze.
However, if you intend to do a popular boat trip to a place called Ras Mohammed which is a National Park but is in the sea then you DO need one.
The Rep told us the sea-life and snorkelling in Ras Mohammed is no better and no different to Tiran Island (no visa needed for Tiran Island).

I don't know of the hotel, As far as I can remember, anything with 'Tiran'
staying in that neck of the woods, hence the Tiran dive sites being closed
