The Devil in Miss Jones - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Devil in Miss Jones is a 1973 adult film, written and directed by Gerard Damiano.
Justine Jones, a spinsterish woman, commits suicide and ends up in hell, where the Devil himself offers her an opportunity to live her life over again; this time as a sexually adventurous, insatiable libertine.
The original film, along with its sequel (Devil in Miss Jones 2), are considered adult film classics, featuring many adult film stars well known in the "Golden Age of Porn" (mostly the 1970s and early 1980s).

It is possible to view the changing images of the underworld by looking at the iconography of hell and the devil.
He leered out of every church door; he capered through castle and church and cottage; and his plots and pranks and temptings of humans were spelled out in sermons, on the stage, in paintings, in pious books, and in stories told in taverns or in homes at bedtime.
The Devil should be out in the streets and on the airwaves, roaring like a lion about his triumphs.

A Few Words About the Devil
Devils should be a sort of eternal salamander, for we are told there is everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels (Mat 25:41), and that there is a lake of brimstone and fire, into which the Devil was cast (Rev 20:10).
Trelevan, who assured me that the Devil was as necessary as the Almighty to the orthodox faith ("Pilgrim's Progress from Methodism to Christianity")." The fashionable preachers in the neighborhood of Belgravia mostly eschew the Devil, and avoid the taint of brimstone; treacle is the commodity they dispense.
For myself, the only Devil I know is that fl Devil ignorance, fostered by knavery and tyranny; a Devil personified by the credulous many, and kept up in the past by the learned but treacherous few, who preferred to rule the masses by their fears, rather than to guide them through their love.

Where in Hell is the Devil?
Although it was a good song, something in those words "devil in hell" didn't ring true to me, even though I'd heard preachers declare war on hell, preach about lies from the pits of hell, or use phrases like every devil in hell in sermons about warfare and the like.
When we speak of "every devil in hell", we are at best speaking not of where Satan is but where he will be, and at worst we are being poor communicators of the gospel.
The New Testament word for hell, the hell we preach about, of fire and destruction, of torment and eternal damnation, where the worm dieth not, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, the word to describe all of that, and more, is the Hebrew word Gehenna (gheh'-en-nah).

The original Jewish conception of Hell was known as Sheol, where the souls of the dead existed in a place of nothingness, without punishment.
Christian Hell is seen as a place where souls endure endless agony, and once a soul enters Hell there is no chance of escape.
Hell, however, is not a place where one spends eternity; once a soul has repented or served its time in Hell it is reincarnated.
