Although the Defiant's MSD clearly shows four decks, some dialogues (in DS9: "Way of the Warrior", "Rejoined", "Starship Down", "To the Death"), suggest there is a "deck 5".

[DS9] Jammer's Review: Sixth Season Recap
After a fizzle-out in the last few episodes of the season, the finale came to the rescue with an "event" show that packed some genuinely intriguing developments with obvious lasting significance (but what else would you expect of a DS9 season-ender?).
An episode in which Molly is lost in a time portal and then retrieved after she has aged 10 years strikes me as having a built-in catch-22: Weighing down O'Brien with yet another personal tragedy seems to happen for the sake of itself these days.
The producers of DS9 have often touted their series' ability to tell a "mix of stories." This season was no exception to that policy, though I'm sure there are those out there that believe it should've been.

SofyAnn's Star Trek Page - Deep Space Nine Season Three
The episode culminates in a battle to the death between the changeling and Odo.
After a prolonged debriefing at Starfleet Command, Sisko returns to DS9 with the starship Defiant, a prototype vessel equipped with a Romulan cloaking device designed to combat the Borg, but one that will be used instead to head off a potential attack by the Jem'Hadar.
This episode was the first of two parts and concluded with "The Die is Cast"(DS9).

 Miles O'Brien
In the episode "Visionary", O'Brien had an accident in which he was poisoned by radiation and experienced several time shifts, each five hours into the future, witnessing a bar brawl, his own death twice, and the destruction of the station.
In the DS9 episode "Bar Association", O'Brien jokingly claimed to be a direct descendant of Irish High King Brian Boru.
In the DS9 episode "Crossover" Dr. Julian Bashir encounters the mirror O'Brien as a Terran slave working the ore processing machines at Terok Nor.

Crossover (season 2) - An engine malfunction in the wormhole sends Bashir and Kira to the Mirror Universe last visited by Kirk, Uhura, Scotty and McCoy.
Technically there are 5 episodes dealing with the mirror universe, but they only go in 4.
Kira's double, the evil Intendant over Terok Nor, informs them that, after the major impact the last crossover made, death is the penalty for anyone who crosses over.

 Armageddon Game
The episode had three basic parts to it: Bashir and O'Brien's forced "bonding" as they try to stay alive, the station dealing with the apparent death of the two, and the detective work once they realize something's strange.
Looking at Kira, Odo, Dax, and Sisko standing there watching the doctored data-clip was one of the more wrenching scenes DS9 has done in a while; without saying more than a few words, all of them managed to project a lot of pain very well.
Oh, "Armageddon Game" isn't perfect, but it _is_ what many DS9's this season have utterly failed to be: engrossing.

 [DS9] Jammer's Review: "The Siege of AR-558"
Sure, Our Heroes have had their dose of life-threatening confrontations, whether it was all-out space battles in "Sacrifice of Angels" or the man-to-man combat of "Rocks and Shoals," but they've never been neck-deep in death for a prolonged period the way the front lines of the war are likely to be.
The episode is a triumph of mood and atmosphere, which is as crucial to the story as any other element.
That may be a fairly obvious statement, but an episode like "The Siege of AR-558" helps get us in better touch with the feelings behind the words, rather than leaving us in the position to take the words at face value.

"Second Sight" - Sisko falls in love for the first time since his wife's death, but the object of his affections may not be all that she seems.
However, I remember seeing "Second Sight" when it first came out about 1994 and found it VERY boring and the 'lover' of Sisko to be VERY annoying, so I went with that one.

His relationship with Major Kira went from intriguing to predictable to comfortable over a span of a very few episodes, ranging from the heavy (The Collaborator) to the hysterical (Fascination).

The paired episodes "Home Front" and "Paradise Lost" face up to the threat of the Dominion's Changeling leaders, "To the Death" brings the Jem'Hadar to the forefront as threats once again, and the season finale, "Broken Link," also focuses on Odo and his Changeling origins.
In addition to contributing to the overall story in some degree, the stand-alone episodes are consistently entertaining; it looks like the writers were relaxing and having some fun with the Star Trek universe by bringing out DS9's versions of time-honored Star Trek tropes.
The result is that the individual episodes fit more into a coherent and evolving whole: while a few of Season 4's episodes could be transplanted into earlier seasons, most are clearly built into the context of Season 4 as a whole.

With subplots involving the android Data's unpredictable "emotion chip" and the spectacular crash-landing of the starship Enterprise, this crossover movie not only satisfied Trek fans, but it also gave them something they'd never had to confront before: the heroic and truly final death of a beloved Star Trek character.
It is also William Shatner's final appearance as Capt. James Tiberius Kirk and, as Spock would say, a logical exit in what amounts to a guest role in an ambitious Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, albeit one made for the movies.
Star Trek: Generations, the seventh of 10 feature films based on the two series created by Gene Roddenberry, is the final passing of the torch from the Original Series to the Next Generation crew as Capt. Jean-Luc Picard and his crew takes the Enterprise-D on its continuining trek across the stars.
