		Todd McFarlane, the Canadian wunderkind who's practically a God among his fans, struck me as a real weakness.
		Todd McFarlane also seems to revel in violence more than Alan Davis, and his issues are conspicuously more gory.

		Klein's a good letterer, but a bit more discussion on appropriate style, and a bit of thought from the production department would have helped.
		Very few editors and creators are happy with the lower case lettering that has been forced on them and when I spoke to Todd at San Diego it seemed to me that he wasn't entirely happy with the style he was being asked to use on 1602.
		Of course, a company "look" is fine, but for every Richard Starkings and Todd Klein who are conscientious, there are too many grunts using lettering fonts as typesetting, rather than utilizing lettering as part of the words and pictures/comics page chemistry.

		The Squiddies were named after Suicide Squid--rec.arts.comics' mascot--a mythical comicbook character accidentally created in April 1991 when Mitsuhiro Sakai wanted to ask about developments in the series SUICIDE SQUAD, but typed "i" instead of "a".
		The 1999 Squiddies were administered by a volunteer team consisting of Johanna Draper Carlson, Bryan Harris, Carl Henderson, and Todd VerBeek.

	icomics - Reviews: Castle Waiting, Tales From The Bog, Berlin
		If it's noir, you find yourself counting the seconds until you're hip-deep in two-bit Chandler dialogue.
		The strong, confident linework is a treat - think Jeff Smith meets Alan Davis.
		The dialogue is wonderful and natural and Todd Klein's lettering is, as always, almost worth the cover price.
