  The LakeFill: Prose: Tom Servo
Servo was the one who would lurk in dark corners and kill me with the chainsaw, not because that was the most efficient way but because it was the most hilarious.
Servo did not look particularly taken aback, except for the fact that he was blinking incessantly and cocking his head to and fro.
Servo’s useless arms were too short to be crossed and so they would hang limp and bounce a little at every movement, disrupting his solemnity and making it seem as though he were still feebly struggling for life.

Tom Servo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tom Servo is a fictional character from the American science fiction comedy television show Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K).
Tom is one of two wise-cracking, robotic main characters of the show, built by Joel Robinson to act as a companion and help stave off madness as he was forced to watch low-quality films.
Tom Servo is a red puppet that has a gumball machine (Carousel Executive Snack Dispenser) for a head, a body composed of a toy "Money Lover Barrel" coin bank and a toy car engine block, and a bowl-shaped hovercraft skirt (a Halloween 'Boo Bowl') instead of legs.

Tom is a sensitive robot who breaks into song at the slightest provocation, and good thing too, he's got a marvelous singong voice!
Some of my favorite skits involving Tom are All Tom Servo Chorus from Starfighters and Fugitive Alien 2: Electric Boogaloo, where they all sing a medley of songs from the movie.
Servo originally had a different voice and was less pompous under the control of Josh Weinstein.

 Tom Servo Construction
For the most part all of the parts are available for Servo, but it is recommended that you find the snack dispenser on your own due to the fact that I only know 1 person with spare heads and he has a limited supply.
The springs for the real Tom seem to be composed of a high tensile steel, circular in makeup and not flat like the slinky.
Tom's head needs to be secured to the bearing by forcing the edges of the trimmed 3" bearing up and into the gap left in Tom's head by the removal of the base plate.

 Construction Instructions - Tom Servo
Tom Servo is the bot that is always suggested you build first, his parts are relativly cheap and easy to find, no fancy work is required, and you end up with a conversation piece that can easily sit on a table.
Tom, being my favorite of the bots (though I love them all) was of course my first choice as my first robot to build.
This piece needs to fit snugly inside servo's head and must be even with the base, so it can be connected to his back bone type rod You'll likely have to cut the pipe a million times, until it looks like the image to your left, and will also fit fully inside of Servo's head.

More Bunz doll, and a ventriloquist's dummy.
Servo's cummerbund is electrical tape in the pilot, fl gaffer's tape in K01, red in K16, fl again in K21.

I-Mockery.com | Hacked Rom Reviews: Tom Servo!
Known for his gumball machine-like appearance and extensive underwear collection, it is only fitting that someone make a game with him as the main character, or rather, remake a game with him as the main character.
Possible theories: since Servo has no eyes on his dome, Kasady felt that some of the more prominent eyeballs in the game should be removed to avoid hurting Servo's feelings.
Again, the trick here is that the author is trying to make you think he's improved upon the original design, when in fact he's merely removed the original flashing power-ups and replaced them with his crummy non sequitur power-ups.
