Tomislavgrad (Cyrillic: Томиславград) known as Duvno (Cyrillic: Дувно) in the former Yugoslavia, German Dalen, is a town in southwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is in the West Bosnia Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 1925 the town was renamed to Tomislavgrad (Tomislav's City), in reference to King Tomislav.

Tomislavgrad is name of the city reintroduced in 1990's, previously called Duvno.
The city was first renamed to Tomislavgrad in 1920's, during the celebrations of millenium of Croatian kingdom (it was told that the city was actually named in honour of the son of the Yugoslav king, prince Tomislav, who is in turn named after the old Croatian king for the same occasion).

Also surprising is a manic eagerness with which the Tomislavgrad military and political nomenclatura [authorities] found the culprits and the heart rending outrage over the crimes as well as g enerous "guarantees for the safety of the Muslims remaining on that territory." Those days, an elegiac atmosphere crept into all the Duvno valley hearts.
