Tommy Bolt Profile   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-18)
Bolt has been selected for induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame through the Veterans Category, an avenue for induction created in 2000 to honor professional players whose accomplishments occurred primarily before 1962 and who did not qualify for induction through any other means.
Bolt, of course, disputes the tale and will only admit that he had a face fixed in fury and always was caught exploding at inopportune moments like when a cameraman captured the memorable image of him at the 1960 U.S. Open tossing a club into the lake in front of the 18th tee.
Bolt also got a grip on his temper in time to win the one title he desperately coveted, the U.S. Open, in his home state of Oklahoma in 1958.

Bolt continued to have an impact on the game when he, along with other leading seniors, competed in the Legends of Golf in the late 1970s.
