Thomas (Tommy) Ricketts (April 15, 1901 – February 10, 1967) was a Newfoundlander and a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

Late Newfoundland pharmacist Tommy Ricketts, who as a teenager became the youngest soldier to win the Victoria Cross in World War I, was honoured posthumously by the Royal Newfoundland Regiment.
Ricketts' military career, which preceded his pharmacy career by almost a decade, is the subject of a display at the regiment's St. John's museum.

On the 18th of January 1919 Thomas Ricketts received a message informing him that he was to be invested with the Victoria Cross by King George V on the following day, Sunday, the 19th of January 1919.
Ricketts would go on to receive the British War Medal 1914–1920, the Victory Medal 1914–1919, 1937 GVIR Coronation Medal, 1953 EIIR Coronation Medal and France's Croix de Guerre with Golden Star.

Tommy Ricketts was born in Middle Arm, White Bay, Newfoundland (then a British colony) who fought under the Royal Newfoundland Regiment.
During an incident on October 14th, 1918 in battle againt German troops, the Newfoundland troops ran out of ammunition, and Private Tommy Ricketts ran across 100 yards, in the line of fire, to retrieve ammunition and supplies.
For this incident, Ricketts was awarded the Victoria Cross by King George V Himself.
