ToneLoc - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ToneLoc was a popular demon dialing computer program for MS-DOS written in the early to mid-1990s by two programmers known by the pseudonyms Minor Threat and Mucho Maas.
The name ToneLoc was short for "Tone Locator", and was a play on the name of the rap artist known as Tone Lōc.
On April 17th, 2005 the source code for ToneLoc was released.

ToneLoc will run, but since ToneLoc uses integer variables, the numbers will be all screwed up, since 5 X's would have 100,000 possible numbers which is more than 32,768 (integer) and 65,536 (word).
ToneLoc waits until it is finished with the current dial to toggle the speaker.
Toneloc will dial the number, wait for the first dialtone, dial the code, wait for a dialtone, dial 1, then wait for a dialtone.

ToneLoc is the one wardialer I know of (the subject of wardialing is for another day), and I believe that ToneLoc had a remote modem identification.
If it has a match, it will tell you (again, I "think" it will do this) what kind of modem it is (as well as some other stuff that we won't get into at this time!).
You will just have to make sure the remote systems are configured for their modems to answer an inbound call.

0800-666-200 the command at the DOS prompt would be :- TONELOC 666-XXX /R:100-200 This would then scan all the numbers between 0800-666-100 and 0800-666-200 and log the results into the log files specified in the *FILES* configuration menu.
First of all you will NEED a copy of ToneLoc (the wardialer I am recommending) http://www.linenoise.org/philez/wardialers/tl110.zip Now that you have started Wardialing in the UK, how about sharing some of your findings or finding people who may help you on your quests and related projects.
In the near future I would like to c0de a Wardialer specifically for the UK, which would be easy to use, understand and gain successful results from.

Hence, since ToneLoc is a great tool, and can be run from the command 'line, making a batch file executing the utility once everytime means no additional 'overhead AND the benefit of reinitialization of the modem everytime which pretty much 'insures the dial and results.
