		En 1947 "Tongolele" rodó en México su primera película titulada "Nocturno de amor", en la que trabajó Miroslava Stern, Víctor Junco e Hilda Sour.
		De "Tongolele", el escritor Carlos Monsiváis aseveró que la bailarina y actriz resultó un fenómeno de los años 40 y 50, porque rompió con los esquemas de una sociedad moralista, donde todavía existen muchos tabúes que ella supo abatir.
