Tongue piercing and splitting may do nothing positive for him personally, but it has done positive things for hundreds of thousands of people and he has no right to try and help take those things away from them.

I just recently saw a picture of someone with their tongue split and I couldn't help thinking how disgusting it looked.
And I bet tongue splitting, which looks way more painful, will have severe effects in the long run.
I have only seen one person with this done and it made me sick to look at him while he was talking to me. I guess there is nothing wrong with it if the person really likes it, but I can't control the fact that it makes me sick.
