6moons audio reviews: Tonian Labs TL-R1
Tonian Labs' Tony Minasian is of the opinion that there's nothing mystical or supernatural about super tweeters.
The Tonian Labs TL-R1 is essentially half of the TL-R2 that Michael Lavorgna reviewed in May. Where the R2 used a 5" pure ribbon tweeter, the R1 uses a 2.5-inch ribbon of the same design.
When using the resistor to attenuate the Tonian's tweeter, you connect the amplifier to the bottom dummy post and then use the resister to bridge across to the upper post, thereby completing the connection.

 6moons audio reviews:Tonian Acoustics TL-R2 super tweeter
Tonian also makes two super tweeters; the TL-R2 using a 5" pure ribbon tweeter which is the subject at hand and the TL-R1 ($950/pair) which uses a 3" pure ribbon.
Tonian Laboratories was officially founded four years ago and has become the US importer for Supra Cables from Sweden, PHY-HP drivers from France and AER drivers from Germany.
The Tonian Acoustics speaker line has its origins in a certain dissatisfaction with the status quo.

Tonian Laboratories TL-R1 Tweeter Review By Jeff Rabin

This review was a little unusual as it is often the case that short hanging up the phone, I can’t get the manufacturers to stop telling me about the underlying theory and practice of their products.
Tony, of Tonian Laboratories (geddit), was a little less forthcoming.
