Abbott is widely known as an outspoken social conservative, and opposes abortion.

Very impressed with the current health minister Tony Abbott in his performance in the portfolio, willing to negotiate and achieve positive results in health reform, to a far greater extent than his predecessors.
Not only that but his recent speech on The Ethical Responsibilities of a Christian Politician, which attracted much notice in the media for it's abortion comments, gives a very thoughtful and reasoned exploration of the relationship between Christian beliefs and a political career.
Abbott has been touted as a possible third in line to the top job, after Peter Costello, and I'd certainly rate him much more highly after his performance in the last few months than I would have previously.

This book Search for the Dragon Ship by Tony Abbott is certainly one of the best Secrets of Droon books.

i think Hill has done a good job (from what i can see this side of parliament walls and Tv broadcasts), he understands the need for things and seems willing to listen to the ADF, i dont know how abbott would do in the defnce min role.
