The 2006-2007 Tony Award nominations were announced May 15 by Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski and former Rent star Taye Diggs at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
Crowley was nommed for Best Scenic Design of a Play for Coast of Utopia (with Scott Pask), Best Scenic Design of a Musical for Mary Poppins and Best Costume Design of a Musical for Mary Poppins.
The Tony Awards are presented by Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing.

Small changes in a revival are good, though I don't think it is a good idea to make major changes to a revival of a show, especially when there are people who remember the orginal production.
If there were 4 or less revivals that season, it automatically would have received a nomination.
Over the years, Tony voters have tended to vote for shows that are still running (though there are a couple of exceptions) so we'll have to wait and see what's still open 6 or 7 months from now and how the race is shaping up at that point.
